What a great weekend it was at Opryland in Nashville on the 5th and 6th! Our resident blogger, Margie, covered the event and captured the fun and magic of the weekend in her blog below. "Hosted at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Sandi's Weekend Getaway was a wonderful success. Friends came from across the country to enjoy an intimate weekend with Sandi and Friends, and they were not disappointed. I was fortunate to attend Friday evening's concert. A full ballroom greeted Sandi as she stepped onto the stage. Sandi thrilled the crowd as she sang through hit after hit, from current releases to songs from days gone by. One of my favorite moments was when the crowd joined Sandi in singing the all time favorite 'Friendship Company.' Another highlight of the evening was when Sandi's charming husband, Don, joined her on stage as they sang their breathtaking rendition of 'The Prayer.' It was indeed an evening I'll never forget. Through the evening, we were also treated to songs from Larnelle Harris, Wayne Watson and Ben Utecht. If you have not heard these men sing, I would strongly suggest visiting their websites. You'll be glad you did. On Saturday, the family lead in worship and then Jim Lyon shared a very memorable message. Friends attending Saturday's events were then treated to a day full of music and fun, and the event of the weekend - Sandi performing at the Grand Ole Opry! Then on Sunday, Sandi gave an intimate concert filled with songs that have been her most popular thoughout the years, and while friends said their goodbyes, the memories made during 'Sandi's Weekend Getaway' will last forever."
