Thanks to Jim... The Brickman Chicks (Claire, Debbie, Ellen and Wendy) had a fantastic weekend at the Grammy Awards.  We were honored to attend the Special Merit Award Ceremony on Saturday where Lifetime Achievement awards were given to Bobby Darin, Leonard Cohen, David “Honeyboy” Edwards, Clark Terry, Loretta Lynn, Andre Previn, and Michael Jackson.  There was a beautiful party that followed the ceremony. It felt like we stepped back in time to old Hollywood.
 
On Grammy day, the feeling in the air was electric.  We walked the red carpet into the pre-telecast where Jim’s category “Best New Age Album” was being awarded.  Although his name was not called to receive the Grammy, he was truly honored to be nominated with such talented musicians.  The highlight was seeing Taylor Swift receive her first ever Grammy.  After the ceremony, we were ushered into the Staples Center and found that we had really great seats!  Each performance was incredible. We can’t even begin to name a favorite.  It was a thrill to see all that talent on one stage in one spectacular concert. 

Following the awards, we attended a party in the Convention Center.  The delicious spread was catered by Wolfgang Puck and the room was like the Hollywood set of a circus.  Feathers, beads, lights, clowns, acrobats, you didn’t know which way to turn.  And there was so much entertainment, both live performances and popular recordings. 

We were part of history at the biggest night of music, thanks to Jim!
